Launch of a new ParentDish!

For several months now, we've been working behind the scenes here at ParentDish. Our goal: a fresh, dynamic update to our beloved old blog. We're now the official online parenting destination for AOL Living.

You'll notice some obvious changes right away: a sleek new color palette and logo, streamlined categories and easy links to dynamic content. We're also introducing new features and easy-to-navigate bundles for those of you looking for information on specific topics, like breastfeeding, sibling number two, celebrity parents behaving very badly, and more.

We've tried to keep the stuff you've told us you love, and we'll continue to be a place where discussions can be held and opinions can be aired. We hope to provoke thought, provide insight, and be a daily destination point for all parents -- all while looking much more polished than before. Welcome to the new ParentDish, we're very excited to have you here!

4. I think it looks more up-to-date and sophisticated now, but I still miss the Blogging Baby header haha. Good job with the redecorating :-)

5. The design is nice and streamlined... But that title icon just looks silly to me. I really liked the family silhouette one.

7. The more I look, the more I commit to my original opinion - looks like a teenage girl designed it. I still miss Blogging Baby, but at least the old logo had something to do with parenting.

I miss the column on the right that would have the recent comments and who wrote them. I like to follow threads, but it's less convienent to have to scroll around and find what's been commented on recently, as opposed to just looking to the right and clicking on the links.

8. The "most popular posts" in the right rail allows you to track the most commented-on pieces on the site.

9. The more I look at this page the more I completely agree. I really miss the old Blogging Baby. I haven't seen posts from some of my favorite bloggers for a long time.

10. I was talking about the recent comments, not the top 3 posts listes there (which are not recent).

Not all of the threads I like to follow make it into the most popular catagory.

11. I agree Anna, sometimes, I just like to follow the threads. I could care less, which post got 100 (or more comments). And I might want to click on a certain post if someone I know usually has someone insightful to sayhas commented.

16. Not a fan. At all. Too bright, too busy, difficult to navigate. I loved the old simplicity, the articles there to enjoy without all of the fuss. I also agree with others who miss the comments section at the side, easy to find recent comments and to follow threads. At the moment, even if you put that back, I doubt I'd be able to find it amongst the jumble. I also liked the most commented on this week, rather than overall. Kept things current. I'll keep you on my RSS feed just so that I can get important info on recalls and other items of interest, but I won't be a daily visitor with this new format.

18. I think it looks ok, but I have one big complaint. I get to parent dish via a link from one of your contributors. Before, the contributors were listed on the right hand side, so I could click on who I wanted to read. I can't figure out how to find links to the writers. There are only certain people I come here to read.

19. TOTALLY AGREE!!! There are only a select few I enjoy reading. I could just click on their names on the right side to see what they have been blogging about. Now its gone. :(
Linda is still there, but what about Roger? and Kristin?? PUT IT BACK!!!!!!!!!!
Other than that its okay.
I'm not a big fan of change. I think to click on the same old link to get to the same old spot. If it aint broke, why do you insist on fixing it???
